I am a graduate of Texas A & M University, Veterinary School, College Station, Texas.
My photography started early in my career with interest in veterinary medicine and general agriculture-AgriStock Images-www.paloduro-consulting.com.
In 1985 I had the opportunity to travel to Krueger National Park, South Africa as a consultant to vaccinate Roan Antelope for anthrax from a helicopter. An experience I will never forget. After spending eighteen days in Krueger, I became “hooked” on conservation and wildlife/nature photography.
Currently I specialize in wildlife/nature photography including scenic and landscapes of the southwest USA and several foreign countries.
I am in partnership with Mary Bechtol, wife and artist in Studio88 Galleries at Sunset Center.-www.marybechtol.com.
In January, 2010 I obtained my own studio-Studio 83H Galleries at Sunset Center where I display my photographs-www.davidtbechtol.com.
I also purchased the Canon iPF8100 printer which gives me the capability to print larger prints.
Mary and I have participated in all of the Coastal Bend Photography Contest, Corpus Christi, Texas beginning with the first contest in 2001 and the most recent one in 2009. We have had images accepted each year.
In April, 2010 I was honored with an invitation, along with 19 other professional photographers, to compete in the Images For Conservation Fund-www.imagesforconservation.org
From the beginning of my veterinary degree with opportunities such as Krueger National Park and contests such as Coastal Bend and Valley Land Fund, and now Images for Conservation my photography begins and stops with the support of conservation for our land and wildlife.
